Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs has intervened this Friday in the Security Council, during the debates around the search for solutions to the problem of Afghanistan and Central Asia.

In the presence of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, Domingo Mituy Edjang has first extended to the attendees the New Year's congratulations sent by President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, thanking the UN, and Kazakhstan for organizing this high-level meeting. level, since the contribution of all is essential to solve the problems that arise in different regions of the world, he said.

On the other hand, the emissary of Malabo has stated that security and development are closely linked to the commitment of all the Central Asian States, which would help in the development of Afghanistan, since their cooperation in security matters is indispensable for a better regional understanding.

"A key aspect for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan lies in accelerating economic development, social cohesion and improving the standard of living of the population. So the international community must redouble its efforts to help the Afghan government to develop key sectors such as economic, infrastructure, health and Human Rights, "said Mituy Edjang in another sequence.

Having highlighted other aspects no less important thanks to which according to the consideration of Malabo, could constitute the turning point to achieve stability in the region, Domingo Mituy concluded the speech by assuring the attendees that Equatorial Guinea supports the objectives of the meeting, the hope of achieving better results, as long as the Will of Afghanistan is respected.
